I am sure that there are other venues promoting TGF just as hard, but I thought it was worth it to say that the owner of the Handlebar in Greenville has really been pushing this show. He loves the album and has been telling people both on their official Facebook and his personal account about the band.

Given that Live nor Candlebox toured the Upstate of SC very often I am a little nervous about attendance for this show, so if you can go (or know people in the area), totally do it/tell them about it for both the band and a venue owner who has really been pushing the band hard. He is definitely not treating it like just another show and it is neat to see.

Both my wife and I will be there! I was seriously happy (and surprised) when I saw the tour date for Greenville. I mean other than the most recent Live tour when they came to the Bi-lo center, they never really stopped in SC, much less Greenville/Spartanburg.

Im still considering it. I will be at the Atlanta show as well. I am a little curious and worried about the size of the stage at the Masquerade Hell Room for the Atlanta show. I still dont see how they are going to fit up there. Too bad they are not playing the main stage. How big is Handlebar?

i was there last night. the crowd was very small, but energetic. i got the cd there and signed by all 5 of 'em... chatted w/ taylor and gracey... very nice people. bought gracey a vodka/soda water, and he gave me a pair of his sticks. they rocked... you can tell this wasn't their first rodeo. dalheimer is just so freakin' cool on stage. the album is great, but, like always.. .doesn't do justice compared to the live show. i don't know if it was cause of the size of the venue, but martin's vocals were a little drowned out from the music... but, regardless.... they rocked it out.

I thought Greenville would be a tough sell for TGF and it turns out I was unfortunately right. I've been playing rock music there for years and there just isn't a huge crowd for it. Its unfortunate but that is the way it is. We got 100 people to the Handlebar once, so I wish we could have helped the guys out. smile.gif

In good news, I convinced 7 people to go who had never heard of TGF and they were all texting me during the show telling me how awesome it was. I think they all bought albums and some are considering going to the Atlanta show now too. Its the small victories!

Anybody know how A Vacant Soul was? I know the lead singer but haven't heard them play in a long, long time.

I think the crowds are really going to pick up with American Bang opening. They seem to have gained a following and that should really help.

the sticks had the "live" logo on it... the logo from tdth, w/ gracey's printed sig.

and, "a vacant soul" was actually pretty good. i met the lead singer while the first band was playing.. he was pretty cool. what was strange is that the lead singer and the bassist had some crazy hair.. spiked, colored, etc... w/ makeup on and tat's... and, the drummer looked like he just left the office.. lol. but, yeah, they were good.

Ha, that is funny, I don't have a clue who is in his band now but the drummer sounds awesome. Andy is a really great guy and a huge talent, he was in a band called Page Three back in the late 90s who nearly signed with Epic records. I got to see him open for Incubus back when I played music with his sister. Good times, good times.

I am gonna have to try and score some Gracey sticks.

my buddy Mike went to the instore they had going on yesterday in Greenville and he said there were only 5 or 6 people total that showed up for it.

BUT, he said it was awesome talking w/ the guys and getting the CD&SHIRT for only $10, some special the place was running after the performance. They then signed his album cover with silver and gold markers, it looks really cool.

Anyone here go to that?

Great job dude and you're exactly right. I got 5 people to come to the Toronto show and they all loved it and bought their cd. If all of us could get 2 or 3 people to buy the cd and so on, this album would end up being huge.

Very good point LR. Over time if this happens incrementally, it will be huge.
