I spoke to someone with connection to Sony and this is the info I obtained:

-They are pushing "The River" one more week, but it isn't looking good because the song lost its momentum on the chart. They feel the song is good, but it didn't connect as well as expected with the audience. He also said that happens to the best of songs and you can't predict it. They were hoping for PLJ to add the song this week, but they didn't so it is all but dead.

- The person I spoke to also said that he felt that they should have released their single around a tour to build excitement for it. (I agree, it seemed the single was released too far in advance, especially with all the album delays).

- Also, Sony is said to be contemplating the second single, but no more info on that, yet.

Well, I've been calling PLJ and my friends too, to request the song and i haven't heard the sumbitches play it once. They keep saying they'll add it to the request list. Assholes!! angry.gif

They should contemplate the release of the album before thinking about the second single. Who the crap is in charge over there? sarcasm.gif

I don't post very much but, I've got to say that the planning and/or organization for the release of this album has been next to terrible. "The River" was released WAY too early. Espiecally when you consider how many times the album has been pushed back. The River got some decent airplay but, almost any single would fizzle out in this amount of time. I'm afraid the possiblity for success in the case of SFBM isn't looking that great.

Where are you guys at? Live doesn't get nearly enough play here in Chicago. I'm actually surprised to see that the show sold out at the Vic. We need more fans out here! kicking.gif
