I am utterly shocked that I didn't figure this out Friday night (can I blame the beer?). TGF covered Depeche Mode - It's No Good. I don't have a video of their version, but this is the original accompanied by a video of two awesome guys dancing.

Was never a big Depeche Mode fan, but having said that I think I've heard some awesome covers of their music by various bands. It's really weird because it's as if they make good songs, but other people just play them so much better and I really can't get into the originals. So i'm sure given that TGF will rock it.

Depeche Mode was really cool when they first came out, but I agree that other bands really bring out the dynamics in their songs more than they do. Having heard it the TGF cover definitely does that.

I'd love to hear TGF do that song. I imagine Kevin's voice suited the song nicely. The Dreaming (Christopher Hall of Stabbing Westward) recently did a killer version. It's on their myspace.

Thanks for that info, I'll check it out. Depeche Mode isn't the band I would think TGF would cover, but what they heck, they prob can do anything.

I dug it because it wasn't the classic rock I was expecting and they really put the TGF stamp on it.

If they did Zeppelin or some-such group they would have to pretty much play them straight, which isn't nearly as much fun for them.

My gal got a pic of me when we talked and it features me with an open mouth and a cigarette falling out of my hand.

Holy fucking shit. No words. Fcking speechless. I remember Chad T was a huge fan of Ultra... and now this... tremendous!
