New album came out a few weeks ago and the band is on tour to support it.

Wondering if anyone else bought it and what they think of the self titled album?

Much much prefer STP to Bush, I hoenstly just didn't see this thread tongue.gif

I'll have to go look for the new album now .. Purple is still one of my favorite albums, didn't get into much else they did but didn't dislike it or anything.

Looks like they're playing in Wantagh whilst I'll be in NY, but it's just a bit far out for me to make it out there on the trip. Hopefully they'll come down to Aus again, wouldn't mind seeing them

There's a few nice songs on the album, but it's not what you'd expect from them.

I'd only rank it above their last album.

It's just nice to see their back together again and hopefully there will be more to come.

I think its because STP has been back together for awhile, but yeah they are far superior to Bush.

I am not really digging the new album. I caught one of the reunion shows and it was great though.

STP and Bush both get the same reaction from me. There are some songs I absolutely love. The rest leaves me feeling apathetic. And Bush songs in particular can annoy me when Gavin Rossdale insists on repeating a word or a phrase over and over and over and over and.....well, you get the idea.

I'm not a huge fan of the new album but the commercial says they'll be playing the hits at their show.

I've been thinking about going but it's a lot to drop on a show, especially with football season coming up and a possible stop by TGF.

You're welcome! Those are two awesome shows by a fantastic band! The band is actually using the Chicago show as a gift because it was so good. Not one response? ... I give up on the "Other Music" stuff with you guys sad.gif

Well, I just finished listening to this show and it's a sweet recording and a tight performance by the band. If you like STP then definitely check it out. I hope Weiland can keep himself clean this time...
