It has been almost a week that SFBM has been released in the Netherlands. How does it go there in terms of sales and radio-play?

I read that someone heard saying a Dutch radio DJ today, that SFBM entered at #1 at the Mega Album Top 100 here in Holland. The site doesn´t display the list of the new week yet, but I wouldn´t be surprised if SFBM did. thumbsup.gif

I am just wondering, why Live is so big in the Netherlands? Any ideas? From what i have heard, though i am not sure, TDTH has outsold TC in Holland, right?

It's true, SFBM is Holland's best selling album right now (outselling Andrea Bocelli, James Blunt and Pink).

TDTH has sold double platinum here (160.000+), TC is "only" platinum. Why? Nobody knows... tongue.gif

I guess I am going to travel to Holland and see Live live for the first time in my life. Holland is the closest country to where i live. Live concerts must be fantastic in front of such audience.

I don't know about how they opened, as far as i remember V did debut at #1, but i'm not sure.
Here's a list of how well the albums did here in Holland:
  • Mental Jewelry (didn't chart)
  • Throwing Copper(released 1994, entered 21-1-1995, highest pos. 4, 79 weeks on chart)
  • Secret Samadhi(released 1997, entered 1-3-1997, highest pos. 4, 33 weeks on chart)
  • The Distance To Here (released 1999, entered 9-10-1999, highest pos. 2, 82 weeks on chart)
  • V (released 2001, entered 22-9-2001, highest pos. 1, 35 weeks on chart)
  • Birds Or Pray (released 2003, entered 31-5-2003, highest pos. 1, 25 weeks on chart)
  • Awake (The Best of) (released 2004, entered 6-11-2004, highest pos. 3, 25 weeks on chart)
  • Songs From Black Mountain (released 2006, entered 15-4-2006, entered on #1, 1st week on chart)
