I actually think this was a long time coming and a good idea. Live probably shouldn't have quite done it this way cos no one would have come to the press conference tongue.gif
But I really got nothing out of Powderfinger's last album .. it was incredibly dull and flat I thought. Even Dream Days.. I didn't find all that amazing. Thei previous run of albums Double Allergic, Internationalist, Odyssey #5 and Vulture Street were all classics. It is sad to see them split but I think it's the right time. I'm sure we'll see them tour again one day down the road and I'm positive there are more Bernard Fanning solo albums to come too.

If things didn't get the way they became, I am sure Live might have done this or perhaps had a new vibe which all 4 shared....which meant more Live.

Did you see Powderfinger on 60 minutes tonight? Bernard pretty much summed up how I feel about Ed right now when explaining about not wanting to be known as 'the fuckwit that broke up my favorite band' tear.gif

I didn't see it .. but Powderfinger will be back at some point. A reuinion tour and album etc .. Bernard will do a few solo albums probably. Honestly I'm not bothered by this at all, to me this is the same as if Live had broken up after V in a non messy way. I thought the last powderfinger album really had very few positives, easily my least favorite. I just thought if they continued on it would become more and more generic. They had a good run.
