Good grief, $175 for a "brief" phone call. I've been ambivalent about Ed schlocking his wares, but this is a bit much. I know everybody needs to make money, but come on.

And why would you pay for the level 3 membership, all you get is a $20 (overpriced) T-shirt for $25, just buy level 2 and buy the shirt separately.

Sorry Ed, but all this money grabbing is starting to turn people off.

Brian

I don't think you can buy the t-shirt you get as a Level 3 membership from the online store as it's a special 'Society of Friends" one...

I don't have a problem with Ed selling phone calls. For some people it can be intimidating to try to talk to Ed in an after-show environment with people all around trying to get his attention. It might be a good idea to define what 'brief' means though.

BTW, check out Ed's online store for a few specials. There's a bunch of shirts at $10 each.

Also, this whole pay for a phone call topic was discussed a couple of weeks ago smile.gif

And people like to think i am wrong to bash Ed. He's lost in the greed and arrogance of selling himself. He's got no more passion for his profession.

$175 for a phonecall. Simply amazing. I hope everyone who is on the fence downloads his album instead of buying it. All Aboard the EDDIETHEK MONEY TRAIN>>>>CHOO CHOO

This is my humble opinion. I don't expect his new album to sound radically different than the overproduced Grace song he 'graced us' with a few....welcome to American Idol.

omg.gif is he serious? $175.00 for a phone call?! If I had $175.00 to throw out the window it wouldn't go to a phone call with Ed.

Why do I have this weird feeling this $175 phone call idea came from someone from SOY or someone who ran SOY?

wait a sec...is the phone call the only difference between level 3 and 4 membership, as well as the $175? If so that's the most expensive phone call you'll ever make

I do agree that this is ridiculous, but more so are the people who will actually pay.

Just to compare, for $19.95, The Professor on Gilligan's Island will leave you a 30 second voicemail:
