Hey all:

I've been reading this board for a lot of years, perhaps not in the past year. Real life happens daily and I have been out of touch since the winter. I've seen all the shows, enjoyed the music, and taken the ride down the slippery slope with Live. I was really dedicated and excited with this band once upon a time....2000 Englewood CO show that lasted 40 min in a snowstorm was pretty dedicated!!

Seeing the FOL message angered me but, I am far from surprised as I predicted to myself that the day will happen

If the band sees/reads here..................Old skool fan here. My age has gone past 40 bells and if a hiatus is needed to get these 4 back to the beginning of the circle again, so be it.

I for one will follow Edko, CT, PD & GC and the new stuff to reconfirm why I started listening and following the band since the early 90's

I want to hear the edgy hard driving sound of +Live+ again someday.

I am sure I will perhaps hear Ed do something hard driving again, after he gets his fill with acoustical bliss.

Lets face it, since V, the really fringe fans of Live went away for good......the change to AC and the soft faced falsetto made them leave in droves. I accepted the new Live with a lot of hope. Good stuff in there on Birds I have to admit..........but the Live that riveted me with the chords was waning.

I hope to see them again as the 4.

Best of luck to the guys in their current endeavors!!!

Saying that you have insider info that you can not reveal is not disclosing anything. In fact it is downright pointless because anyone can say they have info(whether they do or not).

Not to jump on the iLoveNicktheDouche bandwagon, but he makes a valid point there OTD: saying you have various insider info and then stating you can't reveal it is like not having any info at all. Reeks of kindergarten 'naa na na naa na' kinda - rather not disclose that you have any info at all, rather than saying you do and then looking silly by not sharing thereafter.

I must admit to being in the same camp, whilst I don't doubt for a second that OTD has those connections to the band, hell I know it for a fact. Its a little cruel to say so little but hint at so much, even though I sort of understand his position because hell if you start saying too much you lose the trust and you're cut out of the loop. Sort of a double edged sword, you want to say more but can't share it .. I think I'd rather be completely in the dark than dangling the carrot so to speak haha.

by the way, if Hoodie gets knocking out of the F4L competition that surely gives me the number 1 place! happy.gif

I don't have a problem with OTD danging the carrot because ya know why? He's earned it. He did a ton of work for TGF pro bono and has really turned that into something. Good for him! While I understand why it can be annoying, the dude has earned it. And yes, whatever info he has is legit.

And nothing against Dad, but I think I do prefer this style as opposed to "hey guys I got told EVERYTHING, but i'm not telling you" haha.
I also like that OTD's connection to the band drives Nick nuts.

gah I just want something, the website, the unreleased tracks, the lead singer announcement just ... anything!

Why would that drive me nuts? What is the point of getting fed information from Chad Taylor when only 10 percent of it turns out true anyway?
