Both Lift me Up and Hold Me Up were used as a title for the demo of the song that has been floating around for years, until FriendsOfLive announced that a previously unreleased song "Hold Me Up" would be in a movie.

And yes Merica, it's one of their best. It's a shame it was never released, while they had different good chances to do that (1994,2004,2008/2009).

Just wanted to restate how great this song is! I'm hoping the fact that they linked the video clip from the movie with the song to their facebook page means a high quality studio version of the song is on the way (if they ever got back together though it would be a kick ass way to start off the new album).

It's a shame they didn't get their shit together and get this song out when it was hot. The fact that they didn't get this song on the soundtrack is still unbelievable to me.

It seems weird to say my favorite Live song is one that we only have a demo version of but it is an incredible song. Probably helps that I saw them play it in concert. Hard to imagine that Throwing Copper could have been even better than it was had it been on the album. Hell, there are a few songs that could have been on Throwing Copper that were not that would have made it better.

Even now I consider it one of the best albums I have ever heard. I know it made Rolling Stones top 200 (I think it was 200) albums of all time. I wonder where it would have placed if the other songs made the cut.
