That sounded like a nice POP song! I really enjoyed the melodie. This recording doesnt give an indication of how it will sound on the record tho (except for the lyrics and vocals). I guess this will have a simular sound as Forever on the album.

Btw, weird to see neither Zion or DWLF on his setlist.

Cheers Dan. I agree with Pokey, bit generic, sounds like I've heard it before. I was hoping Ed's solo stuff might have a bit more bite/balls to it, but I guess we'd have to hear a recording first. If it was stripped down a bit, without the strings, it could be decent

Which reason will be causing the Mr Roly Poly tendencies? I can think of several but I don't feel like being a bitch right now.

I can see why some people will like this song, its generic and pop. Easy to digest and more catchy than most of SFBM.

I find it stale and boring, personally. I didn't like DWLF but at least it wasn't safe and generic.

I agree with those saying that his voice is sounding great these days, I've thought this since Forever came out (which ironically was also generic and pop).

I could definitely see that. The cool thing is that this song could appeal to Christian and Mainstream audiences because it is non specific. The problem with most Christian radio is that its all Jesus-centric. Total turn-off for me personally.
