I am intentionally posting this topic in the Live Central board instead of the Multi-Media board. This is where I think it belongs.

With the disappearance of friendsoflive.com, the break-up of the band, the lack of official communication, the bickering on twitter, and the start-up of two seperate projects you have to think that there is a possiblity that Live may be finished.

As the members turn their attention to other things it is possible that people may disappear from the Live community forever and the community itself may dissolve. This also leads to the possiblity of special tracks or special versions of songs never being heard or shared by Live fans.

Because of this I would like to request for everyone that if you have any special Live tracks that you may be sitting on (such as alternative versions, covers, unreleased songs, ect.) please consider sharing them before it may be to late.

A great example of this would be the Beer Down version shared by Swami last Christmas (thanks Swami).

As a fan I am not into collecting, I simply want to say that when it comes to Live I have heard and enjoyed it all.

I would hope that if you are in possesion of any such songs that you would prefer that it be loved by those who will enjoy and cherish them for a very long time rather than having them sit in a lonely collection only to disappear from the Live landscape.

You know the one guy from SOY who would have ALL of Live's unreleased/secret stuff right? I suggest you smooch up to him if you want the goods.

i agree, its time to let it all out. I know i have a few but only what i downloaded from this very site (overcome full band, she extended version etc...) but would love to get my hands on everything.

I'm not really into SOY at all. I have no idea who you are referring to or how I would contact them. In addition, with that being said, I doubt they would reply to any request by me.

I think this is a great idea! I'm pretty sure that, unfortunately, we're never going to see a new Live album again. Yeah, they might do a tour or two together when they need a paycheck, but the idea that they'll be recording together again seems pretty farfetched. So listening to any rarities, outtakes, and alt versions is pretty much our last chance for new Live. sad.gif

@EDDIEKLIVE Hey Eddie, you've probably been asked this many times, but will "Hold Me Up" by Live ever see the light of day? fantastic song!

@ghost_patrol hopefully at some point!


I just don't get it. They had the chance in 1994 on TC. Oke, I understand, they thought it doesnt fit with the rest of the songs. After that, there was a perfect chance to release it when promoting Awake. Again, they didnt use it. They got another chance in 2008/2009 (many people that never heard of Live started to ask: who is the artist of this awesome song?). Again they decided to not place it on the soundtrack (wtf?) and not taking the chance and release it as a single. Weird.
