Just heard about this. As a Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters fan I can't wait to hear them:

Them Crooked Vultures is an American hard rock supergroup that formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. Comprising vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme (of Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and Kyuss fame), former Led Zeppelin bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones and drummer Dave Grohl, who currently fronts Foo Fighters and has performed with Nirvana and Tenacious D, the band also performs live with Alain Johannes, Homme's bandmate in QOTSA. The band performed their first show in August 2009, with an album said to be in the works.

Also a youtube page with alleged "Demo's", although the songs don't match their setlist and there is a lot speculation that the tracks are fakes (although the sound good):

Hey these guys sound pretty damn good .. always been a big fan of QOTS and the guys voice just works for me. Not a big foo fighters fan so I prefer when DG is behind the drums and that's a check here, JPJ on the bass is just pure win and it appears Vic Mackey from the shield is playing with them too so thats cool. Yeah keep us posted on this hoodie, I dig it so far.

Interesting way to generate hype... they have a myspace with no songs and are trying to limit the material released.

yeah I'd be the same, although hopefully by the time they're here, which looks like January 22 next year then i'll have the album ... I'm guessing if they're here at that time they'll probably be playing at the big day out too

Nope, no Big Day Out. The only shows they're doing is their own headlining shows.

Looks like tickets are going to be around the $100 mark in Australia.
