I attended the Eddie K. show on July 9th at the Bijou Theater in Knoxville, TN. The show was 1hr 10 min and the setlist was as follows:

1. Selling the Drama
2. The Distance
3. Mother Earth is a Vicious Crowd
4. Nobody Knows
5. The Dolphin’s Cry
6. Turn My Head
7. Face and Ghost
8. Blowin’ In the Wind
9. Take Me Up To Zion
10. Heaven
11. I Alone

Encore
12. Supernatural
13. They Stood Up For Love
14. Lightning Crashes
15. Dance With You

I loved how intimate the show was. It was great. Ed was vey talkative...very responsive to the audience (people would yell stuff and he would respond to them...ex; He would tell them he loved them back or one girl yelled happy birthday...he thanked her and asked her when her birthday was) Nobody Knows was pretty funny...he went to whistle put nothing came out He made a quick comment that his whistler wasn't working. When he got it working we all applauded him! lol.gif

Heh, sounds like a great show! How much falsetto is he doing? The recent videos I've seen - he's toned it down. Was that reflected in this concert?

He's still singing a bit higher than he should be. My husband likes Live, but he doesn't love them like me...he thinks I'm a bit obsessive over them. (I guess Maynard of Tool would be his Ed) Anyways, to the point (ha) on the way home (Knoxville is about an hour and a half drive) we were listening to music and my husband was making fun of Ed all night...like my husband would sing the songs playing in the car and he would add the words "mama and child" to everything to tease me. He also got a kick out of the facial expressions Ed makes...he gets a bit intense at times and makes these very "angry" faces. It's pretty funny.

He was making some of the songs a bit "sexier." haha If that makes any sense at all. Like "The Dolphin's Cry," it was, I don't know...soft? Like instead of making the chorus powerful it was more soft and rhythmic. I recorded the whole show...it's not the best sound quality...(I used a cheap recorder I bought the night before I got to attend a radio show Ed played at in Lexington...I guess I should post that sometime as well...I also have a couple more full shows...)....but I can probably edit it a bit with software....if I get time I'll do that and post it.

He talked about the solo album, a bit just mainly that he was writing new stuff and would be recording some stuff soon. He didn't say anything about the break. I have a theory about that though....things are a bit odd...like the fact that Ed is not followed by Chad Taylor or Chad Gracey on Twitter....but anyways I figure they will all do there own thing though and will probably discover that they are more successful as Live....they will eventually come back together.....more refreshed and better than ever. (Crossin my fingers anyways! :-)
