I purchased 2 tickets this morning! They're about $33 with taxes and service charges.

Who else is going to be there? Maybe we should meet up in the Green Room before the show starts! smile.gif

I am so there!!!! My friend, Jamie, is one of the co-founders of the Layne Staley Tribute Fund and organizes the show. It is an amazing organization and just not a concert per se. It is a night to celebrate Layne's life and legacy which helps those in recovery. I've been once before when Daughtry played and will be back from now on.

Looking forward to seeing some LiVEYs there!

PS. I used to post as slainte, but I forgot my password since I have not been here much lol.gif

Good to hear that Ed would be a part of this annual event. Two of my favorite bands being connected in even a small way is quite cool. Long live Layne!

Off topic:
I'm happy for the rest of AiC that they're finally 'moving on' to create a new record. I'm one of those who anticipates it very much. However, there's this lingering pain that Layne is no longer a part of it.

Kick ass venue and very intimate. Depending on the night before, I may hit this one too.

Eddie closed the show last with Man in the Box......it was amazing to see him rock out with a different band. He really is an awesome front man.

More details to follow of the show but I beg to disagree.

Eddie K, as he calls himself now, is a great frontman for LIVE, but not with the rest of the guys from The Crying Game, the band who he sang Man in the Box with. Man in the Box is a Layne treasure and I am he did not do it justice. I have heard it better with Isiah Rivers from Riverbend a few times.

And, EK is in Portland tonight. At a smaller venue but I am not going. I enjoyed the show last night but not enough to see it again. I was more impressed with the other bands who played at the Tribute show. More engaging and rocked the place.

Agreed. To much Vibrato, not enough passion or audience involvement. That band he was with sounded fantastic though!

I'll still take the audio recording once someone figures out how to rip the video. I tried and couldn't manage it. uhoh.gif

I guess our streak of agreeing is over.....
