...and re-release Throwing Copper, just like PJ did with Ten. Remaster it (but, unlike PJ, remaster it WITH dynamics, something TC is lacking a little bit of to begin with) and release a two disc set, with the second being all the b-sides from the album. A perfect time to capitalize on their newfound love for "Hold Me Up". Release that, WDID, Cheetah, and all those other bsides they've been holding on to..... and, like PJ, release their MTV unplugged with the CD set. Sell it for $40....I'd buy it.

Come on, make it happen......it's the 15 year anniversary of TC this year, so why not??? guitar.gif

They'd have to cut a deal with radioactive geffen, but I think it would be really cool. Instead of a new studio album, re-releasing Throwing Copper with b-sides would rock.

I Wouldn't say instead of .. I'd say in conjunction with .. releasing it a month or 2 before a new studio album may highten the interest a new studio album might not usually get.

I still say my cover album is a better idea though

I agree. I'd rather have another SFBM than a re-released TC. LIVE is too money to have to sell rehashed old shit.

would be nice, but I don;t think it's possible.

i mean..... they couldn't even agree with geffen on putting Hold Me Up on a soundtrack disc, so let alone agree about release it together with all the other outtakes + the whole TC album + remaster it.
i don't think that will happen...... ever no.gif

Yeah I don't think its going to happen and I personally would prefer a new album or a covers CD...

What LIVE should do is re-unite with Jerry Harrison for the next album - we get new material and a nod to Throwing Copper...I'd love to see how he would shape LIVES new sound

and if re-releasing is on the cards make it a good re-release MTV UNPLUGGED OUT-TAKES the works

Well, He did produce their 3 most commercially successful albums...

Throwing Copper is rated by fans as LIVE's Best Work....

Most fans are unhappy with the production sound of Jim Wirt (BOP & SFBM) and Michael Railton/Alain Johannes (V)

and if we are re-visiting Throwing Copper why not re-visit the producer from that era???

Right on man. I've been thinking this for a while too, you could easily fit TC + B-sides onto one disc even and make it a 2-disc pack with an MTV Unplugged DVD. I often listen to TC with the following tracklist cool.gif

1. The Dam at Otter Creek
2. Selling the Drama
3. I Alone
4. Iris
5. Hold Me Up
6. Lightning Crashes
7. Top
8. All Over You
9. We Deal In Dreams
10. Shit Towne
11. T.B.D.
12. Stage
13. Waitress
14. Susquehanna
15. Pillar of Davidson
16. White, Discussion
17. Horse

As for capitalising on "Hold Me Up"s newfound popularity, the other day I checked the download I put up back in September last year - 7600 downloads!!! happy.gif word has certainly been "e-getting around"...

Unlikely yes, but then again I never thought we'd EVER see them do Gas Hed in concert again yahoo.gif (pulling a Pearl Jam there too, bringing back the deep cuts - let's hope it continues - I wanna see SPARKLE and IATHITU again dammit! rockin.gif )

If they can overcome the issues with Radioactive/Geffen then this would be the most awesome treat for us long-term fans, not to mention a definite money spinner...

Yeah, the copy of "Hold Me Up" on my MediaFire account (with all of the rarities) is up to 16,484 downloads as of right now. Pretty insane. Not to mention the copy of YouTube has 147,493 views.

Nice porn promotionI should say. It also pumped up the Live popularity in Russia, dammit! Madness.
