Josh Freese used to be the drummer for such bands as Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Devo and now has released his own album. He's got a very innovative way of promoting it though. You can download it for $7, $15 gets you a CD/DVD copy, $50 gets you a CD/DVD copy, t-shirt plus a 5 minute personal phone call from the man himself!
$250 gets you a CD/DVD, signed drumstick plus lunch with Josh at P.F Changs.
and on it goes up to a $75,000 package...

You can see the full list here:

I guess you can say the promotion has worked... I'd heard of the guy but didn't know he was making his own music... maybe this is something Live could investigate...

I wanna trip out on shrooms with Danny Carey, then have a drum duel which I would surely lose.

If you pay $250 and live on a different continent, who travels to the dinner? Either he loses a lot of money or you get ripped.

I think the autographed stuff is a neat idea, but the rest is really stupid.

Obviously the person purchasing the package would need to do all the traveling. Common sense really.

Thanks for that - it was a good read. Sounds like Josh Freese is really going out of his way to make it a memorable week for the kid who purchased the package.
