Cheers Nick, interesting to find out that Ed wrote Forever alone (from what I gather) whereas Purifier was more of a spontaneous band effort. It certainly shows.

+ed+: he just says 'we've recorded these 2 new songs last year and thats kinda where we're headed creatively. We're looking to get into the studio real soon, and in the mean time also be out on tour for this thing [Paradiso] and just be working, just be out there creating and performing, so check out friendsoflive.com for dates to see when we're heading out and hopefully a new studio record soon'

he also spoke briefly about the freedom they have this time round to do it as it comes with no label interference.

Oh, and while I have your attention, as an Arsenal fan I'd like to thank you for delivering Andrei Arshavin to us safe and sound strawberry.gif

yeah, he said he hoped they can start recording soon... but it also seemed like they havened planned anything... no.gif So i don't think they'll start before the March shows...
And @ Deku: I agree, it was cool to hear him saying that Purifier was a band effort. he actually literally said it was created out of a''jam'" and that's exactly what I want them to do: go into the studio to and jam!

He also said: creating and performing. So recording while on tour?
I hope that 2009 will be a great Live year with a new album!

While I prefer Forever, I think there's a lot to be said for the way in which Purifier was created. He said they only had a few hours to get it done, and worked through the night - Ed was up at 4am writing lyrics. You can tell it was a band effort - I don't remember hearing lead guitar like that anywhere on SFBM.

I'm not so sure they'd record while on tour, but rather just writing new stuff for the record. As yet I don't think Ed has said that they've actually written any new songs. If they do write on the road, there's a good chance it will be the sort of collective effort found on Purifier kicking.gif
