So in celebration of Australia Day *cough* I thought I'd share a couple of videos with you guys of what I believe is the best guitarist Australia has produced. He used to be part of the screaming jets, but we dont talk about them because they're shit. But on his own he is one of the best blues guitarists Ive seen having taken lessons from BB King even. A couple of years ago he went over to Memphis and took out International Bluesman of the year award which is something a little unheard of from a white guy from the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I've been going to his gigs for about 10 years now, he just gets better and better, lots of lovely little tricks while playing like guitar behind the head, guitar behind the head whilst doing the splits and using his teeth to play ... nothing that hasn't been done before of course but still awesome none the less. He's an awesome showman too, tells stories between songs and gets the crowd involved, harrassing old people seems to be one of his favorites.

Anyhoo, here's 2 clips I just uploaded from yesterday. Both covers which you shuold know, Hey Joe (by Hendrix and others) and Pride n Joy (by Stevie Ray Vaughan). The quality isn't the greatest but you get the idea.

Side note, is there a way to embed youtube videos into posts? I know here and some other messages boards the normal "embed" link doesnt seem to work, yet on others it will .. is it just the boards themselves or is there a way around that?

I don't think it's possible to embed YouTube videos into posts on this forum.
There is a way around it. This is how I would do it:
1. Get a screen shot of the YouTube video playing
2. Save it as a JPG
3. Upload the JPG online (eg. www.imageshack.us or www.tinypic.com)
4. Insert the image into your post
5. Hyperlink the image to the YouTube video.

The final result being:



When the user clicks on the image in your post a new window will open containing the YouTube video.
So, it's a lot of messing around and probably not worth it.
