Hey peoples

As discussed here a little while ago there was an uneditted DVD quality digital-TV rip of Live's classic MTV Unplugged performance floating around, so as an early Christmas present to all you fans o' live, here it is in all it's menu-boasting, chapter-pointed, ad-break-removed, digital-picturess glory!!

I've also put the MTV Past, Present & Future documentary on the DVD as a suitable Throwing Copper-era bonus.

Not being a fan of torrents (been stuck on 97% with no seeds too many times dammit!) I've decided to upload it in pieces to mediafire.

The total file size is 1.65 GB, so I've broken it up into manageable 96MB pieces, zipped in RAR format (for those not familiar, free extractor available at http://www.win-rar.com/downloadnow.html).

Once downloaded and extracted (note you have to download all pieces before you can extract them), simply burn the ISO image file to DVD using Nero or other compatible burning software.

Artwork is also included zipped in a separate RAR file.

Thanks must go to Leigh from the SOY discussion board who originally ripped the broadcast and to Dan for providing me with a copy and also the Past, Present & Future doco. As mentioned in a previous discussion, unfortunately the first 10 sec of the broadcast are missing ("welcome to Live's psycho-church of love, jammy jam") so if anyone ever gets the chance to rip a full digital broadcast of the show it would be great to update the DVD.

So give us the link already I hear you say?

<expired links>

Enjoy!

Peace and Merry Christmas hi.gif

Awesome - Thanks for the gift! I recently unearthed two Live bootleg VHS tapes. I've not really read the boards lately so I'm not sure if these have ever circulated? If people are interested I will have them converted to a dvd and share.

"Germany 95" - professionally recorded. I believe there is a cd bootleg of this show called "All Over You". Quality is excellent. My only gripe is that they start to roll credits during White Discussion...

"I Alive" - Amateur recording. Austin, Texas 10/21/94. Includes old tunes like Take My Anthem, Mother Earth Is A Vicious Crowd and 10,000 Years. Quality is shaky to begin, but steadily improves as the show continues.

Any interest or have these been kicked around already????

I'd be interested in the Germany 95 if the transfer to DVD comes out good?

Ridley,

I assume the DVD is still native PAL format?

Us western-world folk need to understand that they need a PAL capable DVD player and a progressive capable television [aka, just about any HDTV that isn't CRT based] to view this DVD.

I believe you can use it in a PC DVD player with no issues, however.

Here are a few screen shots of the MTV Unplugged concert. The "Past, Present and Future" video is pretty poor quality though.

Thanks very much - you're a legend!

You don't know how bad I've been trying to get a "real" copy of this!

I've got an old VHS copy of this that is so worn out - not to mention it was taped in mono. I recently transferred it onto my DVD recorder but it's nothing like this!

A million thank you's - Merry Christmas. Cheers from the wonderful land of Oz.
