I know you read the board, or at least you Pat. You took our advice on making God Don't Never Change into your own song, and it worked. Now you need to turn it up more. CUT PAT LOOSE ON THIS ALBUM. I just listened to God Don't Never Change from two years ago and although I like the way you didn't mix Pat out on Purifier, he's not as prominent and owning as he was on GDNC. CUT THE FUCKING MAN LOOSE ON THIS NEXT ALBUM. HE IS YOUR MOST TALENTED MUSICIAN! Don Carn would agree.

Not going to argue, but where do you see that? ... And how do you know for fact he reads the board?

Fucking agreed. It wouldn't be bad to cut Gracey loose on the next album either

By cut loose do you guys mean kick out of the band to pursue solo ventures?

Umm, No. What I think they mean is let them express themselves freely throughout the entire recording process. Gracey laid down his beats to a 'click track' for SFBM - that's not the way to record an album.

Exactly, session drummers use click tracks ... Gracey doesn't need to be performing at that level after what he's proved himself capable of.
And yes I totally agree, Pat needs to be given license to be as funky as he can be and not to bury the bass so deep in the mix. The live recording of God dont never change showcases how great he can be. I'm still loving his work on Operation Spirit from the DVD but I have to stop the song right before Ed rapes my ears when he yells "SPIRAT"

Yeah its not the best version that is out there, but you can tell how the song sounds still .. the bass is pretty evident in it.
