I don't watch Friends...but I was up late flipping channels and saw this episode and it caught my ear. I did some research and this show was recorded in 1997 (six years before Birds of Pray was released). I couldn't believe what I was hearing...the similarities are just so much that I had to hope that it was a coincidence and not intentional...what do you all think? I am a huge LIVE fan as most know and this just upset me.

Hmm, that is interesting. Perhaps Ed used the idea of those lyrics and changed it suit the song. The girl goes on to sing 'I can't help but fall from grace', while Ed sings 'Something overwhelms my heart with grace'. Thanks for sharing. As I said, interesting. Looking forward to further comments.

Leigh.

Lyrics are pretty similar, but then again they're similar to a lot of commercial jingles and your average 5th grade love poetry. That song was probably written in five seconds by a TV show writer, yet it's a featured song on a modern Live album. Further proof that BOP and everything post TDTH is pure shit.

the only thing that is the same is 'Everytime I see your face', isn't? Or am I mis-hearing something?
If you're pointing at this single lyric only, I think it has absolutely nothing to do with the song Ed wrote on BoP. nervous.gif

It's a corny lyric in probably tons of corny songs.
