What Type of Guitar Does Ed use?

I am looking to get one for my wife as a gift, she is a slave to Live. 20 shows in 6 states.

His acoustic is a black electric/acoustic Takamine. I believe it's part of the G-series. I personally have a Takamine G series acoustic myself, but I haven't actually seen the electronic panel to see exactly which one Ed uses.

Its a very nice guitar that can take a beating. I didn't intentionally set out to "mimic" Ed's guitar choice. It actually was one of the better sounding guitars in the price range I wanted to buy at, so I figured why not.....

Ed uses a Takamine EF341SC, I really love this guitar and PurdueSteve is right they can take quite the beating and still sound great.

The electric with the red star sticker is a Gibson Les Paul, I'm not sure which model it is but I would assume it is either a Classic or Traditional in the ebony finish. Maybe someone else here knows for sure, I don't know much about electric guitars. shrug.gif
