This may have been talked about before, so excuse me if it has, but it seems like LIVE tours more overseas than in the US. Anyone know why? Is it simply because the fan base is greater elsewhere? If so, why is that?

I think Live tours more in the US than in overseas. They did about 100 shows last year, all in the United States. They have a large following in certain places overseas, and by not over-touring there, they seem to keep their following mostly intact.

Damn straight.

We're salivating over here in SA waiting desperately for them to come back here.

Maybe because we see them so rarely, we're still addicted.

I do think that Live has a larger following that has stayed stronger internationally than here in the U.S. For the most part, with the exception of the die-hards, they are just seen as a 90's band. Their fame has drastically eroded since SS.

So you think that when they tour the US and play in those small venues, it's because that's what they expect to fill? Basically, do they no do large arenas/stadiums because they may not sell out?

Correct. If you check they're site you'll even notice that almost all of their shows with Collective Soul and BT won't sell out. The one in Michigan isn't even close.
