I found old discussions about Live songs at this Pulseradio.com. Never knew this site existed, I found it pretty interesting as a chart freak. The fans on this board actually are civil to each other and have legit discussions:

Tnx Nick, it's fun to read all thsoe threads!

on the otherhand, it makes me sad sad.gif it reminds me of how bad Live's single choices have been or how bad promotion was.

Heaven is the last real good single I can remember, after that, they had to go for another good single to make BoP yet more of a succes that it was. But they did not only decide to pick one of the worst single choices, but also changed it by adding Shelby! They could have pick a third single to make it better, but they didn't. That was very sad, cuz BoP had enough good stuff to release as a single.

Than, they should've had promoted WDID better. But no, there wasn't even a video made for it! Very sad, for a great greatest hits album with many hits!

Than, SFBM: The River a good or bad single? Opinions all over, but I dunno. I don't like it, but it was the most catchiest from the album. fact is it didn't do too well compared to past singles. So there should've been a 2nd single, but it didn't come. Mystery had been better than The River with a proper video promotion etc, and using Daughtry's upcomin popularity by releasing the duet should've been even better, but again it didn't happen! After Live's performance on American Idol, the world never heard of SFBM again.

Sad story, hea no.gif All that Live needs is a GOOD single that gets promoted WELL!

I agree and it may never happen again regarding promotion. It depends on how much money they are willing to spend on their next single if they are releasing it through their own label. Unless they found a label to back them, but I have not heard anything regarding that.

It does not depend on the quality of music at all. Any horrible piece of shite can be promoted well and be the huge hit.

Sorry, the latest news on Chris Cornell is just bugging me sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

@ +Ed+ are you pointing to Chris working with Timbaland in the studio?
If so: what's bugging you?

Check out his new "hit" with Timbaland that is being spun in the movie ads all acros US lately. I do not live there, but I know it anyway. It is fucking R'n'B.

But better keep your board on-topic, Nick.

ahh I see, did't know it was outthere. Listened to it on youtube. Indeed it sounded very influenced by Timbaland. But it were just a few seconds, so don't judge an album that we haven't heard of at all. I think Timbaland will let it sound more rock than what you heard in the movie ads, but this sounded indeed R'nB-ish.

But indeed, let's keep on topic. It's true that every kind of music can be a hit by being promoted well. But a song being good can help a lot thumbsup.gif

I saw Chris Cornell live back in March.

Doing a Timberland thing is going to send his career soaring downwards I'm afraid.
