What song(s) by Live do you think people just gave too much credit? Songs that really weren't all that good...

They don't have to be popular commercially either. I think Night of Nights is overrated in the Live community personally.

Anyhoots, My choice is Overcome. This song comes off as whiny and reminds me of a desperate attempt by live to get sales from 9/11.

Good choices. I think Mystery is highly overrated, since it sounds like Ed's nuts are in a vice. I also think Like I Do is very overrated because the lyrics are so piss poor.

Dam at Otter Creek and Stage- Never really liked either song. Only two I usually skip off of Throwing Copper.

Like I Do- Everyone wanted this to be the Birds of Pray single, and I think it would have been a huge flop. Its an okay song, just never single material.

Its not hate. Its the same as some one saying I dont understand all the love. Just saying it doesnt deserve so much love.

'White, Discussion'. For me, Throwing Copper ends at Pillar Of Davidson.

I never understood all the love for Meltdown either. I like the song, but I never understood its cult following.

I think Meltdown deserves some of the praise it gets, but fails to live up to its billing as the underdog best song on TDTH. The alternate version where the solo is immediately followed by an extra verse is pretty cool because that extra verse is great, but it makes the song disjointed and it sounds forced. The album version eliminates that problem, but is too formulaic and is missing that great verse. I'd like to have seen them eliminate the solo from the middle of the song, stick in that extra verse and then move the solo to the end and have it be the outro, with some slight modification. This is another great thread we've had around here recently! yay.gif

I dont believe they played Meltdown after 1998. I wonder why that is the case. The only other song they didnt play in full (to my knowledge) was Quiet River Rage.

I am surprised that they never played Meltdown again. Sun was also dropped after being played not all that much, and I'm pretty sure We Walk in the Dream was never played at all.

I can really only recall Sun being played once at Hershey 2000 at the NYE/Career Spanning Setlist show.
