Live World-Wide Fan Meet in NYC, April 18-21 2008 Options

Some people over at SOY are planning a pretty big fan meet next April in NYC. Not sure if anyone here is interested in attending, but I figured I would let you guys know. I messaged Pat D. through his myspace regarding the band playing the area during that time frame, and while his response wasn't committal, he seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea.

If Live plays the area in conjuction with the weekend, I think a giant fan meet could be an awesome experience, especially if we all find a way to get along

I'll wait until Live comes back to my neighborhood. All I'd be interested in is seeing the band, not everyone who likes them.

I'm sure if the band knew it was going to be a concentrated fan show, they'd probably pull out some rare stuff. I'd certainly be interested in attending if it was a fanclub show or a small venue fans-only type gig.

I'll take a show anywhere but I agree, I'm not a NYC fan. You get weird concert crowds in the city. The fans aren't much more laid back and fun in NJ. But I'll take a show anywhere I can get it.

I can already hear my friend's answer as a big fat no! She never wants to go see them in NYC. We'd have to take the train or ferry. Both make me sick. No one in their right mind goes by car into the city. Maybe the bus....

Maybe they book a show at Starland Ballroom, Atlantic City, or Central PA? People in NYC can get to those shows, and they are more of Live's strongholds. This is, if they decide to book a show in conjuction with this meet.

Starland would be nice....also AC, it would give me an excuse to stay in AC for a day or two!!! If they play...

I had already read about this at SOY and told them I'm on board. This whole idea really took off so quickly! I agree not the biggest NYC fan, but it will be convenient for the overseas fans. I would be willing to go anywhere in the area for the possible show and meeting others who love LIVE too will be lots of fun. From the stories on the board over there it sounds like they have a blast meeting and getting together at concerts. I've met some great people in line and on the boards that would be wonderful to spend more time with. Let's hope the show does become reality. How great to be at a show where you know the crowd will really be into it. Can you imagine how early the line will start and the rush to get to the front at this one though!

What I wrote: I was reading on the friendsoflive message boards that there are plans for a huge Live summit with fans all over the globe to take place next year from April 18-21 in New York City. I was wondering if you guys were planning on touring next year during that time. If so, a show in the northeast during that stretch would be amazing fun.

Gracey: No doubt...that would be a perfect time to be back in NYC. In fact, any time in NYC is good!

I'm not trying to ruinn your excitement but I don't think the "pure Live fans show = special show with rare stuff and things" won't easily happen.

I attended a performance of Live in april 2006 that was made possible by the Dutch Live Fanclub (Subvulture of Live), and more than 1000 people of the 1500 were from the Dutch fanclub, so the band knew that no one loved their music more than we do.
Although it was a really great concert I never forget!, we still we got a very standard setlist (which was played just very good, no offend), but nothing special for people who is waiting for rare stuff or something, even less exciting than the setlists that followed after april on the SFBM tour.

if any beautiful ladies go early to mid 20's i'll drive an hour or so for that...never banged any chicks to live, nobodys into em
