Wow!!!

According to the concert reviews in the setlist section Live really stunk up the place in New York. I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with this statement: I am totally suprised by the reviews (although I've been saying the same thing about the setlist for a while).

I'm not really surprised, although I wasn't there. I agree wholeheartedly with the first reviewer, who called out Ed's on-stage prancing and strip show act for being uncalled for at a ROCK show. I know it turns on the 50 year old women, but to people who go to see a ROCK show, the last thing we want to see is a guy who waxes his fucking chest take his shirt off and prance around like a pussy during Lakini's Juice. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who sees it!

Ed's been taking his shirt off and prancing around during Lakini's Juice for years. It sounds like the original reviewer hasn't been to a recent Live shows or else he'd know that this is nothing new.

It was only two reviews out of roughly 4000 people at the stadium. Plus, if you have three bands on the bill, not every person there will like each band. I saw the band July 22nd and I felt it was one of their best performances to date.

I was thinking the same thing when I read the review.

But let's all be honest here. No one who goes to a Live show wants to hear the crap from Songs from Black Mountain. Those songs completely ruin the show's tempo. I can understand why people would be overall disappointed.

I'm not a 50 year old woman and I don't mind one bit that he takes his shirt off, atleast he breaks a sweat on stage not like the other bands that barely move from the one spot!!!

Yeah, obviously they haven't been to a Live concert in a while or ever !!!

I thought their performance was excellent in Wilmington and those two reviewers sound like they aren't really Live fans. If they thought CC where good in concert their opinion means nothing to me!!! no.gif

I like to hear Songs From Black Mountain stuff. I especially love when Patrick lends his vocals to Wings, it makes the song sound even more amazing. My girlfriend is a big Wing/Mystery fan as well. I personally think Wings gets a very strong reaction in concert that rivals some of the other none-hit songs in concert.

I also understand a lot of people don't like the album, but I think Live should continue to promote it until they come out with someone new.

I think that the people who hate it are the "white and nerdy" types who can't get women to say hello to them with a winning lottery ticket glued to their foreheads. People are just jealous of the guys body, plain and simple. Lose a few, get a tan and maybe you'll be proud to show it off too.

Couldn't disagree with you more. I wish the people that hate the new stuff would stay home and stop yelling "Play Shit Towne!" or "White Discussion" for 2 hours in my ear. I love the old stuff but this isn't a classic rock concert yet. They are a different band than they were in 1994, so I don't want to hear the 1994 setlist.

You are in the massive minority. I think those people would say they want you people who like the new stuff to stay home. Nobody is digging SFBM, wake up. It sold 43,000 copies in the US and I bet half of those are in the garbage already.

The vast majority want to see LIVE rock, not sing...la da da da...da da da da da. I'd rather see WD any day than the river and I honestly think anybody who doesn't is a retard.
