As you all know, Live has a ton of outtakes that have never been officially released. The list includes Still Aroused, Don't Wait, Change, Mallrats, New City, Pop Vortex, etc. Don't Wait has been floating around for years, and I know at least one other track in that group is out there in studio form, but the other four seem to have disappeared for good.

The main reason is that the masters of those songs are owned by Radioactive and there would be too much legal trouble and money to be paid in order to get them released. So, essentially, you can forget about them ever being officially released.

However, what would you think about Live re-recording some of those songs, or more realistically, playing them a few times at shows that were being professionally recorded, or maybe more realistically, releasing already existing concert footage of these tracks being played? I know Jimmy Lang has a ton of old concert footage that he claims the band does not want him to release, so perhaps he already has these tracks on video.

Please post your thoughts on these ideas, add your own ideas, and just give some sort of feedback and I'm pretty sure it will get back to the band smile.gif Post away!

It's pretty disappointing to hear that the originals are in the hands of Radioactive and that the chance of them being released is low. Some of my favourite tracks have never appeared on the albums and if there is more unreleased material out there then I'd definitely love the chance to be able to hear it.

Concert recording has come a long way over the past few years with bands such as Metallica, Pearl Jam, Primus all recording their concerts professionally and selling them online. In my opinion the quality of some of these recordings rival the album versions - so if Live were to perform some unreleased tracks at an upcoming concert and have them recorded then dealing with Radioactive Records could be circumvented.

In terms of old concert footage being released, well there would be a limited market for that sort of thing. I personally love audience shot video but most people wouldn't want to set through a 90 minute set that's being shot by a single camera.
