I am taking my woman for her first live Live concert! My last was in 2001 at Blossom music center in Cleveland(Live preformed an extended Lighining crashes du to the fact that it was storming and pooring and lightening - best performance ever!). Crows headlined that show as well. I would for live to play more than and hour or to headline the show. Oh well.
Does anyone know anything about EARLY ADMISSION LEGACY FAN CLUB TICKETS for the crows? Do I still go at 630?
Well Live return to the stage after crows finish to encore like they did in 2001?
If not I might leave after Live....

If you bought tickets through Counting Crows' legacy presale, you should arrive at the venue by 5pm. You'll be let in at 5:30, a half hour before the general public. There will be a sign telling you where to line up for early entry.

I actually made a mistake on my post above. It's 5:00 that you get let in, not 5:30.

Found these two reviews of the show at CountingCrows.com

The coolest thing was we got there early and found a gate that overlooked the stage. We stood and listened to the band play walkaways and then Adam came out and they did All My Friends 3 times: stopping, starting, rearranging. It was like a private concert watching them interact and work out their song. It was cool! Thanks guys!

As a side note, ad changed "and now I'm 33" to "now I'm 43". We got a chuckle out of that.

Aside from drunk people who would do incredibly stupid, rude, or dangerous things...it was a great concert.

Live was super, but I could have done w/out Collective Soul. Admittedly they seemed hampered by sound issues (instruments and in-ear), but they just seemed to have little chemistry as a band (no interaction w/ each other), and the lead singer was just ... the best word I can find is cliche.

Ed from Live was amazing...he had vocals, energy, and the band grooved together. They played their standards, but also some stuff I hadn't heard (which I really liked).

CC was great. The set was nice and I got to hear some stuff I have never heard in concert (PBB, AMF). I wasn't as jazzed w/ the slower Miami as I enjoyed the more rocking version, but it was nice. Catapult was really rocking. Mrs. Potter was beautiful. I was hoping they would reward us for standing in the rain w/ a new song, but alas..Overall it was a great concert. Adam looked great and Charlie came out and talked to fans (not by the buses b/c they were behind gates) near an exit gate and Dan made sure he flipped a pick to a little boy standing by us which I thought was too cool!

Overall great concert...even in spite of the rain.

Cheers!

I echo much of what was said here. It rained cats and dogs constantly until show time. Of course, that allowed the few and the proud to stake out claims to space stage front.

Although I am sure that Collective Soul is a great band with all of their radio hits, quite frankly, they were not very good. The set was miserably short and filled with technical difficulties, bad sound, and worse prancing.

LIVE was really good. Obviously, this is not the first LIVE - Crows hookup. Certainly, our favorite band and LIVE are quite different. However, they provided a nice contrast. LIVE sounded great and right on. Makes me wonder about all of the problems that Collective Soul had...??!! Also, having LIVE before our Crows allowed some of the rowdies to clear out before the show! Many of the LIVE fans were somewhat younger than the rest of us...enough said.

The Crows set was tremendous. One of the best I have seen. I may be biased though, since I was crossing my fingers for PBB on the thread about our wish list. Wow, did I get my wish!

First, I must say that I caught them in Cincy and C-bus last year. This year, it is Dayton and Indy. Reflecting on the Dayton show, they were really much tighter. Come on, the circumstances were not exactly ideal. I mean Adam nearly bit it when he attempted to mount a monitor when he walked out. Some would cut this song or choose another....but they were really good.

Personally, I liked the middle transition. Before I could come down from my personal glee about PBB....all the way through Mr Jones....well...what have we here?...All My Friends, another not oft played reminisce before we Catapult -ed into Miami and a nice Long December...I guess my enjoyment of the slow down my show my age......oh well....the H azy, H ot, and H umid cruise to the finale cleared it all up...H angin', H ard Candy, H oliday in Spain.

A nice little show. Not bad considering their appeared concerns about getting it off close to on time or even at all at the beginning. The crew deserves a lot of credit....although the one with the not so enviable task of performing the sound check / testing batteries may need to take a chill pill before the next impending shower.

Sorry to drag this out for such a short show....I love 'em and can't wait for Saturday in Indy.
