Does anyone else here watch this show on the Discovery Channel? Its awesome! kicking.gif
This former British Special Forces dude ( Bear ~ real name Edward ) gets dropped into situations/remote places and has to use his skills to make it back to civilization. He does this (so he says talktohand.gif rolleyes.gif ) to teach what someone should do if ever they find themselves stranded in similar situations.
Oh yeah, he's really hott too eyebrow.gif

I watch it all the time. It is a good show and it is always interesting to see what totally disgusting thing he is going to eat to survive. I like the episode where he jumped in the frozen lake and then got totally naked and was jumping around in the snow to get warm. Hahahaha! It is a cool show though, I always like to see how he is going to get out of those situations and I suppose it is very educational too. You know just in case I am stranded on an island or I fall out of plane into a desert someday.

You know what other show I like. I'm not sure if it's on Discovery or not but I like Deadliest Catch. It's the show about crab fishing in Alaska. I'm addicted to that freaking show! It's crazy what those poor guys go through just to catch some crabs but damn they make a ton of money in a season.

Yeah, they really go thru a lot! Makes me aware and appreciate the seafood on my plate and respect these men for the risky situations they have to endure just to get some crabs. ( heynow.gif that didnt sound too right, but you know what I mean.)

I haven't seen the show yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll have to check it out soon!

He's great - who'd think an idiot with a deathwish could be so entertaining? Bear Grylls is such a naff name, though. It sounds like some kind of mansize novelty burger that they'd advertise with a lumberjack in a checked shirt.

He's better than Ray Mears though - being a fat ginga just isn't synonymous with with rugged outdoors survival adventures.

I've seen the show and its pretty cool. I don't know if you guys have heard of Survivorman, but that is by far my favorite show. Its like man vs. wild, but the survivor guy, Lee, goes into the wilderness with no camera crew. So, he has to shoot his own journey across the isolated land. It's funny because he sets up his camera, walks away, then has to return to grab his camera. Next season is coming soon, and hes going to try and survive in the Amazon Rainforest I heard...Can't wait to see that.

Eventhough he is teaching these survival skills to people it is bullshit because most people are too fat/out of shape to survive in those environments.
