Anyone else think my topic title was clever? anyways..

I thought maybe to liven the place a little we could share some cool you tube vids, more to do with music I guess but anything you have which might be cool to share.

Seeing as one of Australia's best rock bands Powderfinger have just released an awesome new album I thought I'd post a clip of them performing one of their songs "Love your way" on a TV show appearence back in 2003. Just ignore the stupid little prick hosting the show.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NpqkAXR1GLo

And sticking with the Aussie theme a bit with this post is one from an awesome band from down here in Melbourne called The Living End, this is from a DVD of theirs, it's an instrumental called E-Boogie.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=f9uxWT3nokI

And lastly is a song by the band Sparks, they were amazing throughout the 70s but then even though they never stopped making music their efforts through the 80s and 90s were a bit eh .. you know, not good. But they released an album last year which blew me away, they're quirky but damn catchy and the lyrics are so clever

Also for some reason embedding the clips on this page wasn't working so yeah, that's why there are just links..

Same here. I heard them before and saw their CD's in a bargain box, so I was like what the hell, and bought 3 of their CD's. Best money I spent in awhile. Pine One Down and 78 stone wobble are awesome songs! Stuck in my head right now. I would love to see them in concert.

Have you heard their live album "Out West" ? it's amazing, the version they do of "Love is better than a warm trombone" is absolute bad ass, not to mention their cool cover of the Tom Waits song "Goin' out west".

And cheers for that Dan, sometimes I think you actually invented the internet you seem to know where all the goodies are so my bet is you're the one putting them there in the first place tongue.gif
