The National Association of Record Manufacturers and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have come out with a list of the top 200 CD's of all time. Live's Throwing Copper came in at #176. I would have voted higher, but I'm happy the guys got some recognition.

Maybe a Hall of Fame bid could happen eventually for the band. There are a lot of bands with less hits and influence in the hall already, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I would have definitely put LIVE much, much higher on the list. And come on how the hell can a lame-ass rapper like Will Smith " Big Willy Style" be higher than TC? wow.gif

Oh and Mariah Carey "Daydream" higher too? no.gif

According the RIAA listing on Wikipedia, Live is listed at 140.

Those aren't rankings. Those are the top-selling albums, in order.

I'm happy they got on the list, but honestly "Throwing Copper deserves to be at least in the top 100....I don't care if you are a fan of the band or not. They have Creed's "Human Clay" at 95...what the fuck? Urg Creed sucks.

ok so i admit it does have me mildly disturbed that shania twain has beaten LIVE...

i am consoled by the fact that the dudes who did the top 200 are the national association of record 'manufacturers'...need i say more...

they don't recognise talent...their lingo is $$$

nevertheless...congrats to LIVE!

now if we could just get some figures on CD piracy...i'll bet my left boob TC is in the top 20!
