I've heard that Live should be announcing a couple more casino tour dates in the coming weeks, one of which should be in the Northeast. Stay tuned because as soon as I can get the venues and dates confirmed, I'll post them in the tour section(unless someone beats me to it) smile.gif

While I am glad that Live is adding concert dates I am sad to see such a great band relegated to playing local Casino gigs.

Pretty much all bands play at casinos these days.

If they play Atlantic City, I am not going.

The booking agency they're with is fucking stupid if they don't come back to NYC-- they sold out a 2100 capacity venue in two days. It's only logical to come back. I will not be travelling far to see them again, ESPECIALLY to hellhole Atlantic City.

Casino shows?

Fuck that if they do one in my area, because of the whole "21 and over" bullshit.

Right now nothing is planned for "hellhole" Atlantic City, but I wish there was. We need a Marina show this year. I actually called the entertainment director at the Marina a few weeks and ago and he was very willing to book Live. However their manager must contact them to make it happen. Does anyone have contact with Live's tour manager?

Can someone fill me in what a 'casino show' is like? Is this just a smaller venue which happens to be at a casino of something completely different?

I'm pretty sure the tour manager is not the one booking the shows (though he pulls the strings I guess). The name of their booking agency sorrily slipped my mind.

It's the same as any other show except that the venue is in a casino and it can sometimes be 21 and over only. The sizes of the venues in most casinos are the same size venue the band would play oustide of a casino. The size of a large club. Most bands of Live's caliber are playing the casinos these days. It's very rare that a band would play a large arena unless they are U2.

Thanks Heather. Too bad about the age restrictions, I always dig it to see 8 year-olds going out of their minds on Live. And they do! kicking.gif

I guess some casino's aren't 21 and over because I'm taking my 8 year old son to see Live at Soaring Eagle Casino in MI (It said ages 5+). I was a little skeptical, but he really wants to go. I'm glad to hear that other people have brought their kids (and that they've enjoyed it!)

Yeah not all casinos are 21 and over for shows. I know Atlantic City isn't that way. But I have been to one that is. I have seen kids at AC shows and I don't see any reason why parents wouldn't bring them to a show there. I've always enjoyed casino shows more than regular shows because the bands seem to kick it up a notch and it also cool to see the band members roaming around the casino before and after the show.

Alot of casinos are 21 and over, but you are allowed in if you are attending a show or eating at a restraunt.

That was their best show hands down. The crowd was so into them that night-even more than in AC. I agree with you they have to go back to NYC.

I believe the actual law is that no one under the age of 21 (Or 18 in some states) is allowed on the GAMING floor.

Other then that anyone can go to a casino show. At least thems the rules for Atlantic City or Las Vegas.

I wouldn't bash Casino shows either, the same weekend live was in AC the Stones were over at the Borgata. A Casino.

Also, I don't think we'll be seeing the boys at Marina anymore. Let's be serious here, they can get better perks playing at HOB then the rundown desperately in need of a remodel Marina.
