Ya' know that the best producer of +Live+ has been Jerry Harrison, but also we know that the best producers have worked on the greatest albums, for an example, Rick Rubin with RHCP and Audioslave, Rob Cavallo with Green Day, Michael Railo and Alain Johannes with Chris Cornnel and +Live+, Flood And Daniel Lanois with U2 and The Smashing Pumpkins, etc.

What do you think about this options?

I voted Jerry Harrison, but I don't know if you'll get back the 'good old feelin' with him anno 2006 (and 2007 or 2008 when the album comes out). But I haven't heard anything from Jerry over the last years...is he still producing? bounce.gif

Btw! I miss Dr.Dre in the poll list lol.gif

I liked what Jerry Harrison did but I voted for Chad T. He produces work for other bands so why not produce his own band? I would personally love to see what his input would result in.

None of the above.

I vote Andy Wallace.

haha no even if Dr.Dre would be listed in your poll I would vote Jerry.

But! when I heard the thing about ChadT wanted Dr.Dre as producer someday, I was like: whoohw, that would be very special! I understand almost everyone would say: don't! Many Live fans won't like all of the music he produced. But wheter you like his hiphop shit or don't, it's GOOD. He has made creative things in his genre possible and he said (according to ChadT) he now wanted to produce something totally different like a rockband (Live in this case) and if he could bring the same creative ideas as he had in his own genre into a new genre for him (rock). I mean, it doesn't have to be the (in many Live fans'' opinion) 'weak' rock-rap as it was on V. Maybe not any rap at all. All I want to say Dre is a good producer and what if he combines that with Live. than I could see a good future Live album. I agreed with the line Chad wrote in the same message: "let's create a new musical genre.."

But whatever, I don't see that happen ever! talktohand.gif

That post, along with the sentence 'Who you want that it is the following producer?' sucks all my will to live.

Bloody Conan O'Brien would do a better job at producing an album than Jim Wirt did on SFBM. It has this "hello... can you hear me? I appear to have my head stuck in a bucket!" sound to it.

Anyway, I say Rick Rubin for a laugh - that album would either emphatically make or break the rest of Live's career.

People are getting confused between producers/ mixers again...

Anyway, to clarify, I want Andy Wallace to produce and mix. Then even if the songs aren't brilliant, at least it will sound amazing.

I knew you'd say that, when I saw that you were the last poster in the thread. He's done some really good stuff... and some.. not so good stuff.

Random thing I noticed- My girlfriends little brother was playing Crash Bandicoot on the playstation a while ago... and in the credits, someone named Brendan O'Brien did a couple of the voices... was it him???
