The false Pearl Jam ticket brought up a good point - what are the odds that Ed goes solo at some point? By doing all of the writing for the recent albums, has he already gone solo in a sense?

It wouldn't shock me if Ed went solo in some way, though I would be surprised if the band stopped all together. I think the concept of a solo career contradicts some of the things Ed writes about. I could see a temporary journey into a solo career, perhaps for personal exploration purposes.

Theres an Aussie rock band called Powderfinger and their lead singer, Bernard Fanning, released a great solo album to off load some of his material. Even though the band never actually broke up, it's been about 2 or 3 yrs since their last album. I recently heard that they're recording for a new album at the moment.
So my point is that it is possible for Ed to do a solo album to maybe off load some of his material then get the band together for a new kick arse album.
Who knows.

Leigh.

P.S. I'm sure most of you know Powderfinger, if not, the Aussies do.

LIVE has been my fave band for 7 years already....And I tell ya, I would not mind Ed solo record. Either wouldn't I mind Chad's solo record. But not for the cost of falling apart.

Solo careers are over rated. If ED did one the band would'nt break up but they would loose their vibe. A Chad solo career would bring some balance back to the band AS I'm sick to death of hearing radio DJ Say
"ED and his friends from +LIVE are returning to Australia"

+LIVE are one of the few bands that have stayed strong even though many of their fans have turned on them for going softer in their sound.
