With the recent release of the demo for The Distance, I'm curious about the reactions to the above poll.

I have the unopened original DOAD cassette and it is amazing. I had the plastic wrap signed by the band a few years ago. I keep it safely in a fire proof safe! It is one of my most treasured items. So I have to vote for that! Peace-Susan

Just a copy of DOAD. I would like to see it re-released so that those of us that cant get a copy can have one an it looses its price tag on ebay that people try and charge for a cassette.

I would do just about anything to have Ruby Lou (Chad T's Jazzmaster Guitar) signed by him.

"Pop Vortex." Just because the title is strange as fuck.

Seriously, though...I want all recorded tracks--demos, outtakes, etc.--from The Distance to here, which would be a ton. It's my favorite album of all-time, so I can dream, right? Maybe Dan will help out with some of that. wink.gif

I'd definitely go for the unopened original DOAD cassette, because imo that's a stayer. All that unreleased stuff will somehow get public anyway...

I'm pretty sure that DOAD is knocking about in MP3 format anyway. I used to have it on my old computer and wasn't that taken by it to be honest. All I'd do with an unopened cassette is shove it on eBay because I'm not sentimental like that.

I've got a bootleg (silver cd) called 'That's Live' that includes DOAD plus some other concert tracks. If anybody wants me to torrent the album (in the lossless FLAC format), just let me know.
Here's the tracklisting: http://www.joesdiner.com/~drew/boots/thatlive.html

Keep an eye on eBay - in the past 6 months I've seen a few copies of "That's Live" appear. There's also a disc called "Public Affection Demos" that contains DOAD as well. If I come across anybody selling them I'll be sure to send you a PM. smile.gif
