Ed was treated at a local hospital for voice problems immediately before Live's concert at the Festival Of The Lakes in Indiana this past Saturday. To read more about this concert and Ed's voice problems (including an article published in a local newspaper), hop on over to the Setlist & Review Section.

It all sounds a scary but as far as I've heard, Ed was slightly sick that night but recovered the next day already.

I called both venues for the next 2 shows following this particular show today and they said that Live performed as scheduled...so hopefully it was an isolated incident.

You can all rest well tonight.

Ed's voice was AMAZING tonight in Michigan.

I was at the Hammond gig too, and he has completely recovered and shows NO signs of problems. Believe me.

me and my girlfriend were hanging out back of the stage by the tour buses
hoping to get a glimpse of the guys.

we started hearing some rumbling from the cops around there and knew something
was up. we talked to a security guy and he said Ed was at the hospital but wouldn't
say what for.
then the cops started clearing people away from a path by the buses and a cop car
blocks off traffic on one side of the road outside and in pulls a cop car with lights flashing
and out gets Ed from the backseat.

he had a hat on and looked like an old man with how he was walking. me and my girlfriend were like what the hell is wrong with him. well needless to say his ass was sore from the steroid shots he got. lol.
I said go get em' Eddie and he gave me a thumbs up. I snapped a pic with my disposable camera and I've yet to get it developed to see how it turned out.

the whole thing was pretty wild.
definitely the most interesting Live show I've been to outta 14 to say the least.

kudos to the people who were there who gave reviews about the show. couldn't have written a better and more thorough review if I tried. and the newspaper story was pretty good also.

I'll just say there is a huge difference between a free show and a ticketed show as far as the audience goes.

so..after turning down tickets for tonites show angry.gif (backstage also) DAMN...but must work....so when I got to READING..some guy I talked to said he saw all the band with their families last nite eh.gif ...but ED stayed in bus cause he was not feeling good sad.gif ...before show...when +LIVE+ came on..I could tell(after seeing ED 3x';s this year) ..that he was NOT 100%. huh.gif ..they played more acoustic, softer songs in the beggining...(MIRROR SONG WAS AWESOME)...they only played 2from SFBM...(river-wings-)...after about 5-6 songs..ED started to get a little more himself... kicking.gif
my fellings about the show and +LIVE+...
1st ; after being on the road that long, my impression is they need some time off to relax) thumbsup.gif
2nd; I hate reserved seating...way to CALM!!!.....you would think the crowd in PA..would have welcomed back their BOYZ. angry.gif ..but NY and NJ showed everyone how the fans of LIVE rock....way to calm for me.
i was in the front row...
3rd: you can drive around in READING lost for hours angry.gif
4th: backstage; everyone was very cooled and relaxed...I didnt notice any beers for ED...CHAD G may have had a cocktail??/,,,,,ADAM was a REALLY nice guy!....PAT..was cool...CHAD G was clam...CHAD T was nice too....I got pix with um all..and they all signed the PLAYLIST thumbsup.gif )

He was really suffering in Hammond when we saw him and he is still having problems..... I don't understand why they don't cancel some of the shows and give him some rest. Honestly, he might do more harm to his voice if he keeps it up than if he would take off for a couple of weeks. I am surprised he isn't getting a physician's advice on what damage he might be doing to his voice by continuing to work it when he is having problems. We are planning to see them in St. Louis, and we are all looking forward to it, but I'd give that up if I knew it would give him a chance to heal his voice.

They don't want to disappoint their fans, probably.

I guess Ed would rather give a half-assed performance than not perform at all. I respect him for that, because it shows his devotion to the fans.
