Don't know, if you remember, but I had announced to be on a Porcupine Tree concert, 2005-11-19. Unfortunately I had a gig at the same day, so I couldn't go...

Oh yes, that's the concert that was filmed for German TV right? I've watched most of it on Google Video, it's pretty neat. Good to see Futile played live, they hadn't done it before the November-December European tour. But I'm definitely looking forward to the forthcoming Chicago DVD, which will have much better sound and will have lots of extras and stuff.

Supposedly Porcupine Tree will do a 2-3 week tour to support the DVD, so I'm counting on seeing them again this year, knowing that New York is almost surely a place they'll visit even during a short tour. I'm also looking forward to the reissues of Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun in 5.1 Surround, as I've never heard Stupid Dream in full (I only have some songs from it), and Lightbulb Sun is probably my favorite PT album.

Oh yeah, and sorry you couldn't make it to the concert, Phoenix. They're really incredible live. I've seen 'em twice now, once on the May Deadwing tour and another time back in October.

Let's hope they play Glass Arm Shattering and/or Lips of Ashes on the next tour

I'm a fan of Mellotron Scratch right now...They've played it at the concert, but WDR didn't air it. Next time I'll see them whatever comes! (April 9th would be bad though)
I'm mostly a fan of the drummer, so I like the more recent material a bit more. I have the 5.1 versions of Deadwing and In Absentia..breathtaking!
Talking about sound, the SAT-Rip is awesome, though it's not 5.1. There is no better LIVE video-bootleg. I wanted to compare the SAT-Rip to Google Video, but there is a country check, so i cannot tell, if it's revolutionary better quality

I LOVE Porcupine Tree! I saw them twice last year too, in Boston in May and October. They said they would be back in the spring promoting the Chicago DVD. I haven't heard anything yet, but I really hope they come back. I got to see them do an acustic set at a record store before the October show, then got to meet them all and get a few CDs signed. They are such nice guys that can Really Rock! They just blew me away! Thanks for the link to the torrent site, I'll have to have my friend DL it for me, I don't do torrents. I'm on their street team, got a really cool t-shirt
