Join us for an intimate evening to celebrate the long-awaited return to the stage for Chad Taylor, founding member, co-songwriter, and former guitarist of the multi-platinum band LIVE.

After a three-year hiatus, the musical performance will feature a robust music catalog, including songs from LIVE, The Gracious Few, and new material. Taylor fronts the five-piece band on vocals and guitar while performing “Taylor’s Version” of songs spanning his nearly 40-year musical journey. This is a new path in Taylor’s historic rise from CBGB’s, 9:30 Club, and The Chameleon Club to global recognition.

Taylor & Friends is filled with fresh faces and at least one musician with a bowling average above 220 who has a known affinity for chocolate Easter bunnies.

Taylor on vocals. Really have no idea what to expect and how songs will sound with this approach.

I emailed Zoetropolis last night to see if they plan on offering streaming options for this show and they replied "No streaming plans that I'm aware of, but I'll check in with staff & see if there's anything planned."

Had to try.

So chad is allowed to perform live songs? That’s very confusing to me but everything that’s happening is confusing.

Because Ed is performing as Live. Ed could have performed at any time, but just not under the name of Live without having the rights to the name.

Chad is putting on a show called "Chad Taylor & Friends" and is performing music under that name. Chad can perform any music he wants (just as any musician can) without the permission of anybody.

But didn’t they try and sue ED when he first started playing solo shows if he preformed anything he didn’t write? Or am I remembering that wrong.

It’s a bit hazy now, but if I recall part of the lawsuit was from Ed, selling bootleg Live songs on his website.

But I believe he always played Live songs in concert. In fact, before the reunion, his whole thing was Throwing Copper unplugged. Good show by the way.
