Just learned of 8D Audio today and gave it a try. It definitely changes the listening experience and makes the music feel different.

At first it seemed pretty cool but I found that it became annoying because it feels like the song is circling around my head. Would be interesting to hear a few Live songs in 8D is anyone has them available.

Here's an article with a link to Wonderwall in 8D if you want to check it out.

The idea of “8D Audio” has been drifting through the online world for the last few months. If you’ve experienced it–and it’s a really a headphone things–you’ll know that it’s a pretty immersive thing with the music coming at you from all directions. It’s a new twist on binaural recording, which has been with us for decades.

A WhatsApp message that went with some of the earliest tracks read “It will be the first time that you will listen to that song with your brain and not with your ears. You will feel the music from outside and not from the headphones. Feel the effects of this new technology.”

What does that mean? Grab some headphones and listen to this.

Interesting. The only thing I noticed that was different was the the vocals constantly moved from left to right and then back again.
