http://candleboxrocks.com/campaign/

Candlebox is offering a whole lot of cool opportunities for fans who are willing to shell out some $$

These include:

Watch a show from side of the stage
Have a drink with the band before the show
Request a song to be played at a show
Sponsor their tour bus
Have Kevin and another band member play a show at your place

Not too bad if you're a Candlebox fan.

This is absolutely THE coolest thing I have ever seen offered from a band.
I wish Līve would do the same, but I think I have a better chance of getting struck by lightning. Not a fan of Candlebox, but this is a FUN thread to base conversation on, if it were Līve. -What would you all buy?

The U.K. VIP ticket is very reasonable, and if you’re a fan of Candlebox, worth every penny. If it were Līve, I’d buy a VIP ticket for that price, no questions asked.

If it were Līve, I’d also delight in buying the on stage song request & dedication. Oh, to know the song I pick might surely make them work and sweat a little bit. Heh heh.

If it were Līve, I’d also love the handwritten lyrics/personalized note. Great price for such a treasure.

I watched a video with Kevin Martin from a couple of months ago where he elaborates on the reasons for this campaign.

Candlebox is touring Europe in the near future and it's going to cost them $57,000 to do it. Kevin Martin will be paying that amount out of his own pocket. He needs to pay for flights, accommodation and the wages of his band mates. As of the recording of the video he had raised $30,000.

Here is the video. It's a long one. I'll post the timestamp where he discusses this campaign when I get a chance.

It's at 41:25, but the campaign talk starts at 40m.

Another interesting tidbit from this KM interview at 42:46 - apparently Kevin tried to get Candlebox on the ALTimate tour, but they went with OLP instead. WHY OH DEAR GOD WHY. OLP is fine, but Candlebox would have rocked the shit out of that show. Maybe that's why they didn't...
