Here is a video that I shot during the Awake Tour. This is the first time the entire video recording has been released. In the past I have posted videos of 'Running to Stand Still' (the only video recording that has surfaced) and 'We Deal in Dreams'.

This video is unfortunately cut (got caught during The Dolphin's Cry and I was forced to check in my video camera) . My brother got most of the show as an audio recording on MiniDisc but I've never had the time to sync it all up. I still don't have the time, so I'm releasing the video as is. Maybe one day I can get my act together and give it a proper release but until then, here's a YouTube video.

This was the smallest venue that Live had ever played in Australia since their first tour in 1995. After I got busted I went downstairs and ran into a couple of SOYers who had flown over from Melbourne and the USA. We were only a few metres from the stage with a bar directly behind me serving us drinks while Chad Taylor and Ed were rocking out in front of us.

I was at this show, right down in front of the stage...so long ago. This was my second Live show and I remember even though the venue was a little small compared to the first show and later Live show I saw, it was a pretty awesome experience, though I think my youth and relatively recent exposure to the band and mix of alcohol is mainly to thank for that. The dude in front of us caught CG's drumsticks at the end of the set and I remember being pissed off about that. It's good to reminisce but the video can't do justice to being right there under the band with the lights and crowd and actual sound of the moment. Hopefully those who haven't been so lucky to see these guys in person will get that chance!

I totally getcha. I'm one who has never gotten to see Live. I was gifted front row for another one of my favorite bands and it's spoiled me now for life. There's nothing like it. In 2017, I WILL be there at a Live show no matter what, even if I have to travel. I pray the rock gods will once again smile upon me.

Thanks. They made me take the camera to the cloak room and I picked it back up after the show.
