Video for Mystery? Options

Anyone hear any mention of a video being made for "Mystery"? It seems to me that if Sony REALLY sto capitilize on the song's sudden popularity, putting out a video - quickly - would be an inevitable move. Based on the wave of interest AI created for the song, you could pretty much count on the video being a quick add to VH1 and likely climbing the charts in a hurry.

I guess a quick video doesn't mean a really memmorable video of Live...
and in the worst case... a live recording, just like the original vid for Runaway

i don't have a lot of faith that if they make one it will be any good. they haven't made a good video in years. we can always hope, though.

They should just release the AI performance- I know this is almost impossible due to contactual restrictions, but would be the best to sustain the interest before the album is released. Pull some strings Sony!

yeah I agree with you on that
RTTW wasn't bad at all, but not a classic one I think, and not as cool as TDC,
But before TDC there are a lot of memmorable ones

for example LC and I alone

no, I can't imagine Mystery will get a video with a real good depth or meaning in it
but whatever, if we get something like The River it isn't that bad, could be better, but good be much worse ( what did I anyone hear screaming Shelby vid )

Here is the thing, when I hear music, truly great music I automatically see visuals, and some great visuals I can automatically hear different songs when I see them. But "Mystery" doesn't do that for me, I don't see ANYTHING, it is not a bad song it just doesn't do much for me. I can't see much of a video beyond the band performing live.

"Night of Nights" on the other hand I could make a video too, even "SHow" and "Sophia".

I liked the video to "Run to the Water". Very "Blade Runner" esque.

I like a lot of the videos. Including RTTW and TSUFL. But to the general public, these are remmemorable videos.

Except the AI performance wasn't even close to the complete song. A whole verse was missing. I'd be pissed if that was the "official" video for the song.

I always pictured it as the four of them on one of those lookout hutts on top of a big mountain in Tibet somewhere and the hutt overlooks a large lush green valley entrenched in fog. And the whole time We think ed is singing about this girl because when he sings mystery she is walking towards him, obscurng the horizon behind her. Then at the end she finally disappears and we see the black mountain in the distance.

Too bad Idol/Epic/Sony couldn't work something out where they could cut another performance of Ed and Chris singing with the rest of Live backing them up and do the entire song on a new video. It could be nothing more than them doing the song, complete song. Would give them a chance to rehearse it more than they did for the finale and they could choreograph it better, etc. That could help keep the interest level up for Live in terms of their new cd and for Chris with his upcoming Idol tour, etc.

They should use the video from the Palladium show,that rocks! And while they are at it,they should use the audio from that also.That version is so much better than the studio version it's not funny!
