Snowtown Murders

The Snowtown murders were a series of homicides committed by John Bunting and Robert Wagner between August 1992 and May 1999 in South Australia. Motivation for the eleven murders is unclear, and the acts included torture.

Bunting and Wagner bragged openly about killing, and Bunting called it "playing".

The killings began with music from Live’s Throwing Copper. Their enjoyment was ritualised through the use of the song Selling the Drama. The lyric included the line And to love: a god / And to fear: a flame. And later, tellingly, Hey, now we won't be raped / Hey, now we won't be scarred like that.

That's an old story pretty well known by Live fans.

Sorry I posted this story. Throwing Copper has always been such a beautiful piece of music, no need to associate it with something so horrible.

No need to apologize, post what you want. Just saying this wasn't a secret.

The real serial killers of Live:

1) SJN1279 - wow this guy is annoying. I know he's disliked here, but then I saw his posts on the Collective Soul boards. All of his posts are about Live, nothing about Collective Soul. Wrong message board, retard.

2) Ed K. - I have been listening to Pillar of Davidson a ton lately. Such an epic song, maybe their best. Slow buildup, then everything breaks loose and the band soars... the guitar, drums, vocals, harmonies, all top notch. Ed sings with so much passion. CCP plays with so much passion.

So, how did we get from that to Ed's Bottle of Anything? Such an uninspired piece of sh*t, and so far removed from the amazing Throwing Copper, it just makes ya scratch your head. After listening to his solo stuff, no doubt about it, I think Ed killed Live (but damn, I miss his singing).

3) Chris Shinn - sorry, Chris. Those were big shoes to fill, and you didn't fill em. I can't listen to the The Turn because of your voice. It's irritating, too high and nasally (and not in a good way wink.gif

Best thing I can say about CS is maybe he will be the catalyst for a reunion with Ed. Maybe Live will ultimately get that redemption Ed is always singing about.

I didn’t read the article but in my opinion this is not at all surprising about Hynes.
