Haha yeah, but without knowing SHIT! He thinks that the new LIVE isn't anything close to what was LIVE because Ed left. The irony is that the new LIVE is sounding closer to the original LIVE than they did in the last 15 years. Wow, how unprepared can a radio guy be.

I think the interview is very harsh on the band.look i love Ed and the band but Chris is superb as the new lead singer of Live.Having met Chris Shinn was far more friendly and professional than the stoned Ed who didn't give a toss about what i was saying to him.Good luck to Live and to Ed.At the moment i've only got time for Live V2 rockin.gif

i wonder what the interviewer would have said if the band were in the studio mmmm slag off Ed i bet.

The interviewer played dumb and then pandered to Ed the whole way through. He's a definite yes man. Had Live 2.0 come through he would compliment them for how great it must feel to not have the lead singer control the fate of the band.

I don't think he played dumb or was a 'yes man'. I guess it depends on how much you expect a radio host to know about Live. I doubt he knows much about Live's music post 2000, but Ed mentioned Daughtry incidentally and the host knew the details of the American Idol scenario on the spot. The host talked about how he was also doing college radio work in the past, dropped some operation spirit lyrics and how that reflected his own spiritual "confusion," and seemed to connect with Mental Jewelry, and Throwing Copper. He didn't need to talk about the new Live line-up to be a yes man, and I think he wanted to speak his opinion at the risk of alienating CCCP fans. He went so far as to use the word "shmuck" as his first thought. So I think the host genuinely was a fan of early Live and was not appreciative of the new line up.
