Does someone who's really good with audio programs want to try to extract the vocals from one of Ed's solo songs and mix it with the music off of a song from The Turn? Get a little glimpse of what Live would look like if Ed wrote the lyrics and CCP wrote the music?

Please don't turn this into an Ed v CCP thread, we have enough of those on the boards already. I'm just curious to see if A. it could be done and B. what it would sound like.

And if you're like me and don't have the faintest clue how to work audio programs, please leave a suggestion of what two songs you think would mix well!

My first guess is that you can't extract vocals from a mixed track unless they're practically isolated. Does anyone know?

wont work for so many reasons. First, unless you have separated tracks, you'll never get a clean vocal track. You could spend a lot of time scrubbing the track using SpectraLayers, but it won't be perfect.

Beyond that, you have to consider the actual notes of the music... Ed's songs will be sung in different keys and at different cadences.

not necessarily. if different, maybe use pitch shifting and tempo shift like how dj's do
