New to this board, but been a Live fan since I bought TC back in ’96. Anyways, TC is my favorite album by the band, and while I believe nearly each subsequent album showed greatness, none match TC as a whole amazing. I always thought if Live put the best of their best together and released that as there TC follow-up they may have maintained their greatness. Playing around with playlists I came up with my favorites (sorry nothing from SFTBM made the cut).

So how you would layout a TC follow up using only songs post-Throwing Copper? Try and think about a logical flow to the album too. Keep it album length, so since this is my post – my rules – 14 songs total.

Here would be mine and their tracklist order:
1. Intro – Simple Creed
2. Lakini’s Juice
3. Like I Do
4. Run To The Water
5. She
6. Vine Street
7. Deep Enough
8. Heropsychodreamer
9. Sweet Release
10. Heaven
11. The Dolphin’s Cry
12. Lighthouse
13. River Town
14. Feel The Quiet River Rage

I realize it a bit BOP heavy, but I think that album had some of their best material ever, but mixed with a bunch of mediocrity. Other songs that just missed the cut are:
Unsheathed
Gas Hed Goes West
Dance With You

And if I was forced to put something in from every album then Sofia.

So what would yours be?

A

Love this...what an awesome topic!!
I played around with my iPod playlists and have came up with mine. What puzzled me the most was the order of the album. After several hours, I still don't know if I'm happy with this order. So, I'm definitely not meant to be a record producer! My "album" is Secret Samadhi heavy, because to me, it's just as great as Throwing Copper, if not greater. I think I've successfully represented all of Live's albums on here.
1. Hold Me Up (this song should have never been left off any album!!!)
2. Lakini's Juice
3. Dolphin's Cry
4. Mystery
5. Gas Head Goes West
6. Like I Do
7. Voodoo Lady
8. Turn My Head
9. Overcome
10. Heaven
11. Where Fishes Go
12. Heropsychodreamer
13. Freaks
14. Graze

Thanks for the new playlist inspiration.
