CD / DVD of the Throwing Copper show on February 11th, 2014 is available.

On February 11th, 2014, I had one of the best concert experiences of my life thanks to you…my amazing fans. I performed Throwing Copper (front-to-back) in front of a sold-out Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia. I think back on it and still get chills.

I had a premonition that Sydney was going to be a special night, and thanks to the folks at Moshcam and Pledge Music, we were able to put together a very talented team of filmmakers to capture the concert, the fans, the energy and the overall experience in such a way that you will feel like you are there when you see it!

I am so excited to share this incredible concert and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Throwing Copper with you through the CD/DVD. I send my heartfelt thanks to you all for your support in making this project become a reality with your pledge.

-Ed K

I was hoping for a Blu-Ray version of the concert, but I guess a DVD will be sufficient.

What did everybody order?

I was wondering if the download version might be higher resolution that a 480p DVD? If anyone orders it pls let us know (also if it is available before the estimated July mailout of the discs) thumbsup.gif

It's 2014, there is no way I'd consider paying for "DVD" material. It has to have been shot at something higher than 480, to the best of my knowledge you can't get consumer, prosumer or even professional recording equipment anymore at such low resolutions.

If they don't want to go through the hassle of Bluray authoring and production, then at least make the download version high res.

CD for me. That's good enough. I can listen at my desk at work or in the car, but the odds of me ever watching the DVD are next to zero.

The goal has been reached! 10% of all future pledges will be donated to World Vision...

Here's an acoustic performance video of "Top" for pledgers.

This Taylor T5 was played by Ed in the acoustic portion of the Throwing Copper 20th Anniversary Concert in Sydney. It was also one of two T5’s that he has been performing with on all of his “I Alone Acoustic” concerts worldwide for the past two years. A very special instrument indeed! (10% of proceeds from sale to benefit World Vision)

24 days until the release of the CD/DVD!

Yeah, if it had been any other band I wouldn't have bothered ordering a DVD. When people tell me that they can't tell the difference between DVD and Blu-Ray (or any 1080p content)... well.. surrender.gif

A digital HD version of the concert should definitely be offered. It wouldn't surprise me if the concert was shot in 4K.

12 days to go!

Concert album gets released in 2 hours (7 pm local time). The release must be based on Australian time?

Hopefully it's good.

Cool - would you mind posting back about the quality/resolution of the video download? smile.gif
