Some were saying that CCP were cashing on the past with TC...well look who does it now? And don't get me wrong, it is find I guess as a main songwriter to do so. Chad T.'s post summed it up. Let go and go like the want you want....if it's both, then that's fine.

Earlier this year, Ed came to CCP and asked to reunite for a proper Worldwide Throwing Copper Anniversary tour for 2014. CCP refused and took the idea for their own show. I feel that since they refused the proper version of the tour, it is fine for Ed to embark on his own version.

It isn't ideal, but it is what it is.

Actually I believe he stole CCP's idea. I hope he doesn't get dragged into court again.

When he says he's going to play Throwing Copper the whole way through.....it seems weird without CCP

We have got to get a recording of Ed's and CCP's shows to see who can do Throwing Copper more justice.

I can assure you that the idea to play Throwing Copper for the 20th anniversary was Ed's. Even Gracey admitted that Ed wanted to come back earlier this year, but they refused. It was for a Throwing Copper tour.

As it does when CCP do the same without the lyric and melody writer for the album. They refused the proper tour, and now we will get 2 tours and won't make everyone happy.

If it's true (ofcourse I don't know that for sure), they probably refused because they know it's all about the money for Ed. Not about friendship. Not about music. Not about the fans. I can see why they couldn't see this work this way.

Point is, CCP still play all songs (old and new) with the passion they did 20 years ago. Ed 'evolved' (like he wants to believe), but lost that real and raw passion years ago.
- CCP can play their part of TC like it should be
- Ed can't anymore. Don't like to admit that, but I think you can take that as a fact.

ed and his band played with a ton of passion this summer. To each their own.

Interesting, where did Gracey say this? Is it still out there to view?

TC is also hugely about the lyrics and vocal melody. Chad's admitted to not even know the lyrics to the songs. So CCP will come through passionately, but its a limited scope of the music. Ed doesn't have the passion from TC or the vocals, Chris might have the vocals but none of the inspiration. This thing is broke and can't be put back together the way it was. We'll have variations of the original entity.

I don't like the fact that it would have been an extensive tour. Maybe that's why CCP refused to collaborate. A one time event like in AC gives really more of a meaning to this anniversary. At the worse they could have done 1 time in the US, 1 in Europe and 1 in Australia. But the idea of a big tour makes them a bigger nostalgia act as they are (both Ed and CCP) already.

The one time event that live are playing isn't even during 20th anniversary of the album.
