First off, let's correct this misnomer right now. WWE, WWF, WCW, or whatever the hell it's called these days, is "real" wrestling in about the same way that Skittles are made with "real" fruit. It's like calling the Lingerie Football League real football. Real (i.e. authentic) wrestling does not involve throwing a person across a rink and having them bounce off the ropes and come running back toward you for you to cloths-line them into 'oblivion'.

I'll put it this way. If Young & The Restless, et al, are supposed to be soap operas for women then this shit has to be considered soap operas for men. It might take physical strength to pull off some of the moves those guys do, and that's not really what I'm knocking, but so do movie stunts. You're basically watching stuntmen engaging in contrived stunts built around cheesy, mindless, He-man, "me Tarzan, you dead" machismo bullshit drivel.

It's the kind of stuff you're into as a kid, or maybe even a teenager if you don't live near a big city, and you grow out of as you enter into adulthood. I mean, I watched it some in the late 90's when Goldberg was a big name, but I grew out of that shit real fast.

Well said. I used to mock the other kids who were into this garbage when I was in elementary school. It's great if you live in rural areas where there is not much else to do, I guess. But yeah if you live in say, the tri-state area, there is really no reason to be into this stuff when you get past 6 years old.

It's WWE/WWF crap like this that is literally society cancer, like reality TV shows featuring anyone from the Kardashian family. It contributes nothing and only makes trolls dumber.

I find wrestling enormously funny. In russia they never air the original programmes, only translated ones. We had a tremendous ex-rockstar translating and dubbing Wrestle Mania, I could hardly get myself together after laughing watching it.

Well, not that I watched it more than 7-8 timnes when I was 15.
